Meet Our Founders

Lynne & Gary Shook – Guided by Faith, Driven to Serve

AfterShook was founded in April 2019 by Lynne and Gary Shook with a simple yet powerful vision: to bless their community by helping people save money on the things they need most.

For Lynne, liquidation runs deep — she was raised in the industry, coming from a family of three generations of liquidators and auctioneers. Her experience, combined with Gary’s heart for service and community, laid the foundation for what AfterShook would become: a place where faith, family values, and financial stewardship come together.

The Shooks launched AfterShook not just as a business, but as a calling — to create a welcoming space where people could find high-quality goods at deeply discounted prices, all while being treated with honesty, respect, and care.
